About Blind
Blind Skateboards was founded by Mark Gonzales under Steve Rocco’s World Industries umbrella; the brand launched around 1989. The name was chosen as a play on Gonzales’s former sponsor, Vision.
Early pros included Jason Lee, Rudy Johnson, and Guy Mariano. Spike Jonze directed the influential 1991 video Video Days. Gonzales later left; the brand continued under Dwindle Distribution.
Blind produces skate decks, wheels, soft goods, and accessories. Its longtime logo was a stylized grim reaper.
