Cliché Skateboards was founded in 1997 in Lyon, France, by French pro skater Jérémie Daclin. Key collaborator Al Boglio helped run the brand. It was built to support European riders and styles outside the U.S.-centered industry.

Cliché Skateboards was founded in 1997 in Lyon, France, by French pro skater Jérémie Daclin. Key collaborator Al Boglio helped run the brand. It was built to support European riders and styles outside the U.S.-centered industry.

Salomon Group acquired Cliché in 2001; Dwindle Distribution bought it in 2009. Dwindle announced discontinuation of the brand in November 2016.

Cliché produced decks, apparel, and accessories and was known for European street skating and videos such as Europa (2000).
