About Madrid
Jerry Madrid began shaping surfboards in his parents’ Southern California garage in the late 1960s and shaped skateboards when waves were poor.
In 1976, while working as a firefighter, he officially started Madrid Skateboards with help from brothers Jim and Jeff.
Madrid is known for early modern concaves, 1980s cultural collabs (including Back to the Future’s Madrid x Valterra board), and continued Huntington Beach factory production.
