Shorty’s was founded in 1992 by Tony Buyalos in Santa Barbara, California, beginning as a skateboard hardware brand before expanding into decks.

The company became a defining ’90s street brand with bold graphics and a team that included Chad Muska, Steve Olson, and Toan Nguyen.

After winding down board production to refocus on hardware (bolts, bearings, bushings, grip), Shorty’s later revived snowboards while remaining known for skate hardware roots.
