Theories of Atlantis Distribution was created in 2010 by independent skate filmmaker Josh Stewart, known for the Static video series. HQ and warehouse are in Brooklyn, New York.

Stewart initially distributed independent skate videos, then added friends’ brands. The Theories name also appears on apparel that debuted around the 2007 Static III premiere.

Theories functions as both a namesake brand and an East Coast distributor for independent skate and apparel labels, with product focus on decks, soft goods, and related skate product.
