Color Bars was founded in August 2018 in Los Angeles by skate-industry veteran Andy Netkin and his wife Elisabetta (Betta) Netkin as an independent venture after Netkin’s earlier role co-founding Primitive.

The brand licenses pop-culture, music, film, and art imagery for skate decks, tees, hoodies, and accessories, collaborating with estates and archives (e.g., Aaliyah).

Product focus is officially licensed graphic hardgoods and apparel that blend skate lifestyle retail with music and entertainment iconography.
