About Opera
Opera Skateboards was founded in 2023 by skate industry veteran Bill Weiss, formerly of Madness Skateboards, after the collapse of Dwindle Distribution.
Opera sits under Sidewalk Distribution, formed with Louie Barletta, Bod Boyle, and Steve Douglas. Sister brands under that umbrella include Jacuzzi Unlimited and Slappy Trucks.
Weiss has described the name as referring to opera as "a performance of one." Product focus is skate decks and team-oriented hardgoods and soft goods.
