About The Firm

The Firm was a skateboard company cofounded in 1991 by Lance Mountain after he left Powell-Peralta, with early involvement from Ray Barbee.

Distributed through Blitz Distribution, it was known for decks and a tight-knit team that included Bob Burnquist, Rodrigo “Tx” Teixeira, Matt Beach, and others.

After more than a decade and multiple videos, Mountain announced the end of The Firm on March 13, 2006; he and several riders later joined Flip.
