Polar Skate Co. was founded in 2011 in Malmö, Sweden, by professional skateboarder and filmmaker Pontus Alv. Alv’s prior films include The Strongest of the Strange and In Search of the Miraculous.

Polar grew as a European indie brand known for hand-drawn and artistic deck graphics plus an in-house apparel line with European workwear influence.

Product focus is skate decks, apparel (including denim), and related accessories, with a DIY, film-driven brand identity.
